Responsibilities
- Building and troubleshooting BPMN & MuleSoft workflows with Groovy and JavaScript logic
- Ingesting data into catalogs from various structured and unstructured data sources
- Understanding and documenting business requirements
- Leading and training new data analysts on the arts of governance and privacy
- Individual research and learning on data governance best practices to help the development of the organization
- Building new processes and procedures that strive for flexibility and scalability
- Providing first level support to business users and governance organizations
Requirements
- Candidates should have a reasonable understanding of:
- SQL, in-depth experience writing SQL and utilizing SQL to access data
- Problem-solving and analytical abilities
- One or more Data Methodology experiences: Data Standards, Data Quality, Data Modeling, Data Profiling, MetaData Management, or Master Data Management
- Business (Information) analysis and process design
- Data (information) governance and regulatory compliance
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- REST API usage to retrieve and update metadata – Understanding of JSON
- JavaScript/Groovy programming language or other Object-Oriented programming experience.
- MuleSoft or other enterprise service bus tools experience
- Flowable/Activiti BPMN process mapping flows experience is a plus
- Understanding HTML structures and CSS
- Collibra Solution Architect or Ranger certified
- A bachelor’s or graduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field
- Experience in information technology or comparable experience working as a business partner or information technology professional desired
- Working knowledge of leading data governance solutions preferred (IE.: Informatica, Collibra, Infogix, Alation, OvalEdge)
- Working knowledge of data science and machine learning tools like Alteryx, Knime Analytics Platform, Informatica, etc.. and data quality/profiling tools like: Collibra, IBM Information Analyzer, Informatica
- Understanding of the agile delivery framework and some of the management tools such as Jira, TFS, Aha, Trello
- Being aware of the regulatory laws such as CPRA, CCPA, GDPR, etc is a plus.
